The event will take place in the splendid setting of the island of San Giorgio Forum and will be an opportunity to discuss new solutions in the process of rethinking the role of sustainability and the evolutionary trajectories of the sector to 2030.

The Forum, founded and created by Italian Fashion System, The European House - Ambrosetti e Confindustria Veneto East – Metropolitan Area Venice Padua Rovigo Treviso sees as its leitmotif “Leading Re-Generation”. The aim is to propose new solutions to rethink the approach to sustainability, with a view to “regenerating” the entire sector, with direct impacts on human capital and the regulatory framework, on innovation and digital transformation, on the traceability and transparency of the supply chain as well as on the approach to consumption. The theme represents an appeal to the main players in the entire fashion supply chain, from excellent manufacturers to brands to SMEs, to discuss with institutions and experts the implications that the transition has already triggered on competitiveness, production and revenues.

Just Fashion Transition 2024

On this occasion, some data from the 3rd edition of the strategic study “Just Fashion Transition 2024”, the permanent Observatory on the sustainable transition of the key fashion, clothing, footwear and leather goods supply chains of TEHA, which this year focuses on the evolutionary trajectories of the sector to 2030 and the effectiveness of companies' commitments in pursuing them. Just Fashion Transition 2024 involved over 500 companies, including global retailers, European big players and companies in the Italian supply chain, measured through a TEHA model for evaluating ESG performance. The projections of the economic and environmental performance of the sector to 2030 are based on historical series that include more than 775 data points at European level. In addition, an analysis of market expectations was carried out based on a global sample of over 26.000 consumers

The statements

Sergio Tamborini, President of Sistema Moda Italia: "Moments of difficulty, such as the one the Textile and Fashion sector is going through, have always been fertile ground for implementing new relaunch structures. If the supply chain is redefining its priorities with respect to innovation, human capital and the product, it is also and above all for the sustainable challenges that the European market is asking for. Together with the support and promotion actions, at the institutions and abroad, the Venice Sustainable Fashion Forum 2024 represents an important opportunity for Sistema Moda Italia to underline the urgency of a sustainable agenda and new measures for the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry.. "
Flavio Sciuccati, Partner The European House-Ambrosetti and Director Global Fashion Unit: "This third edition of the Venice Forum comes in a particularly difficult year for the entire Fashion & Luxury sector worldwide and for all Made in Italy manufacturing in particular. For this reason, in addition to the sense of urgency on the theme of Sustainability that has characterized the approach we have given to this Observatory since the beginning, this year, both in the strategic study that we will present and in the sessions of the Forum, we will give greater importance to Business and its performance in the coming years. We do this because we are convinced that the "challenge of Sustainability" must be embraced and can only be won through close collaboration between all three strategic elements that characterize (and make unique) this sector, especially in our country: the big brands, the small brands and the entire manufacturing chain whose upstream part, for obvious reasons of fragmentation and available means, today represents the weakest link that must be supported and preserved.".
Leopoldo Destro, President of Confindustria Veneto Est"In a complex and crucial scenario for the sector, this third edition of the Forum makes Venice an international reference for the discussion on sustainable transition as an opportunity for regeneration for a key Made in Italy supply chain such as Textiles, Fashion and Footwear which, in Veneto alone, exceeds 14,5 billion in exports. A creative and at the same time manufacturing excellence, represented by the fine textile tradition and artisan intelligence of the lagoon city and the textile districts of the area, of the Brenta Footwear and Sportsystem. The challenge is to combine competitiveness and sustainability, in the right ways and times, with adequate investment incentives and realistic European rules. This is the shared appeal that we will make from Venice".
