The Italian export strengthens its presence in Africa and a 100 million contract of euros destined for Togo. The operation is central to Sace, which finalized an export credit agreement to support the supply of Italian tractors, plows, seed drills, and other agricultural machinery to the African country. This is a significant transaction not only for the economic value of the contract, but also for its strategic importance in the expansion of Italian companies into new, high-potential markets.
Financing and a plan to modernize Togolese agriculture
In detail, Sace has guaranteed a financing of 78,3 million euros, granted by Santander CIB to the Ministry of Finance and Budget of the TogoThe resources will be used to support the supply of machinery and equipment to the Togolese Ministry of Agriculture, with the aim of accelerating the modernization of the agricultural sector through the purchase of high-quality equipment.
The operation is thus part of a process aimed at strengthening the productivity of the African country's primary sector by leveraging Italian technologies.
Four Italian companies at the center of the order
Those involved are four Italian realitiesCNH Industrial Italia, SDF, Idrofoglia, and the Nardi Group. These companies represent the quality of the national agricultural machinery and technology supply chain, with roots in various manufacturing districts across the country. The order also represents a showcase for an industrial segment that continues to play a key role in the competitiveness of Made in Italy products on international markets.
