Pensions: stop raising the age for 14.600 people

The government's pension proposal becomes official. Raising the retirement age to 67 years which will start in 2019 will exclude those who carry out heavy work.

This is what we read in the technical report on the government's amendment on pensions with the unions.

Based on what is expected therefore, in 2019 67 people will be exempt from the increase to 14.600 years of age which will become 20.200 in 2023.

The amendment also contains the cost chapter: for the first year the "price" will be equal to 100 million, while in the three-year period 2019-2021 it will reach almost 385 million.

The table in the technical report on the amendment presented by the government during the examination of the maneuver shows the expected charges from 2018 to 2027: the first year the negative effects for public finance amounted to 9,4 million. It then rises to 121,9 million in 2019, 176,7 million in 2020, 261,6 million in 2023, up to 300,2 million when fully operational in 2027.

It should be emphasized that the overall costs include not only the exemption of "burdensome" workers but also changes to wage integration treatments.

Also confirmed the expansion of categories included in the category of heavy work. At 11 already scheduled for the Ape Social workers from agriculture, zootechnics and fishing are added; employed fishermen or cooperative members; first and second melting steel workers and glass workers involved in high temperature work; seafarers embarked on board and traveling personnel of marine transport and in inland waters.
