Concert in Cardiff, 4 July 2025. Now it's official: Oasis are back. After 16 years of silence and resentment, Liam and Noel Gallagher they buried (perhaps temporarily) the hatchet and are got back on stage together, inaugurating the reunion tour before 75 thousand fans in delirium al Principality Stadium of the Welsh capital. It was 2009, the famous backstage argument in Paris, that the two brothers had not shared a microphone. But last night, between stadium chants and pointed smartphones, the band that symbolized 90s Britpop I turned the amplifiers back on. And, as Liam would say, it was “Biblical".
So is everything resolved between Liam and Noel? Brotherly love found again? Hard to believe. More than a sincere hug, it seems that to weigh more for the attraction of the stage was above all the millionaire cachet. Because playing together again is exciting, but doing it for 7 million euros per evening it definitely has a different flavor. But the fans don't care. Oasis are back. And the world is back in Oasismania.
Oasis, concert in Cardiff: 23 hits in the setlist
On the notes of “Fuckin' in the Bushes”, their historic live intro, Oasis are back to doing what they do best, playing. No frills, no surprises and not much chitchat either. But then again, the fans only needed one thing: see them together again on the same stage. And it's not just Liam and Noel, but also Gem Archer, Andy bell and the great return of Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, column of the origins. The lineup played at Cardiff, 23 songs one after the other, is a concentrate of 90's Britpop, a greatest hits that fishes with both hands Definitely Maybe, (What's The Story) Morning Glory? e Be Here Now. With the voice of Liam in great shape and a Noel more hidden but impeccable, the Oasis sound was back to being exactly what the public wanted.
The evening opened at 18pm with the cast, Followed by Richard Ashcroft at 19pm, former frontman of The Verve, who set the stadium alight with Bitter Sweet Symphony, The Drugs Don't Work e Lucky man. A curious one role reversal compared to 1993, when Oasis were opening for him. Thirty years later, he's opening for the Gallaghers. At 20:15 PM sharp, then the moment that everyone was waiting for arrived: the return of the two brothers to the stage, surprisingly also hand in hand. Almost two hours of music, closed around 22pm amidst stadium chants, arms raised to the sky and a audience in ecstasy. If you leave with Hello and his chorus “It's good to be back”, goes from Acquiesce, slide away, Whatever, Live Forever and it ends with a poker that gives you goosebumps: The masterplan, Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall e Champagne supernova. Here is the setlist for Cardiff (and most likely the entire tour):
- Hello
- Acquiesce
- Morning Glory
- Some Might Say
- Bring It On Down
- Cigarettes & Alcohol
- fade away
- Supersonic
- Roll With It
- Talk Tonight
- Half the world away

- Stand By Me
- Cast No Shadow
- slide away
- Whatever
- Live Forever
- Rock and Roll Star

It is very likely that this will remain the fixed set list for the entire tour. After all, Oasis never liked to change it but the fans are fine with that.
Oasis in concert: a tour with mind-blowing numbers
“Oasis Live '25” is not only one of the most anticipated reunions in the history of rock, but a real economic operation on a global scale. Only with the first 17 dates in the UK and Ireland, they were sold 1,4 million tickets, for a direct collection of over £400 million, about a quarter 470 million euro. But the strength of the phenomenon goes far beyond the ticket office.
According to estimates by Barclays, each fan will spend on average £766 per gig (About 900 €), considering not only the ticket, but also transportation, hotel, meals and of course merchandising. The result is impressive: 1,2 billion euros of induced effects only in English-speaking countries, with figures that would make a country's GDP envious.
The cities that host the concerts are transformed into real temporary economic hubs (a bit like the Taylor Swift effect). A Cardiff, with the two opening evenings on July 4th and 5th, an economic impact of 70 million euro. Manchester, where Oasis play five home dates at Heaton Park, the expected revenue exceeds 160 million pounds. London is no exception. Evenings at Wembley could generate up to 190 million pounds. And then there is the whole parallel world of the Oasis brand. The merchandising alone adds another 160 million pounds, bringing the total impact in the UK to around 400 million pounds.
But the journey has just begun. If the forecasts are confirmed abroad, with stops in America, Asia and South America, we are talking about 3-4 million tickets sold globally, for direct collection between 420 and 600 million pounds, and an overall economic impact that could exceed $ 2,2 billion.
More than a reunion, Oasis's has turned into a a true multinational of Britpop, capable of churning out staggering numbers and demonstrating, once again, that nostalgia is not just a feeling, but a powerful economic engine.
How Much Will Liam And Noel Make? A Stellar Paycheck (But Only If They Don't Fight)
That what unites the two most quarrelsome brothers in the United Kingdom today is more the money that brotherly love, it's hard to deny. According to the British tabloids, Liam and Noel Gallagher to earn around £6 million per concert, approximately 7 million euro. Vertigo-inducing numbers, which make them the Europe's highest paid rock stars in 2025. Only with the 17 dates between UK and Ireland, the personal loot is approaching 50 million euros each. Rock 'n' Roll Star, ultimately, even on the bank account.
But the most interesting detail is hidden between the lines of the contract. To avoid last-minute scenes and disasters, no advances and no bank transfers before the show: the compensation is unlocked only at the end of the evening, after singing and, above all, without having sent each other to hell. It is a “anti-litigation clause“, specifically designed to defuse the ever-possible “Gallagher effect”. In practice: no concert, no money. A ploy to avoid a new “Paris 2009 case” and ensure the survival of the tour. For now it works. And as long as it works, the millions will flow.
Golden Tickets (and Scams): The Case of Dynamic Pricing
The Oasis reunion has sparked excitement, but also controversy. And not so much because of the Gallagher brothers, but because of the organization. Tickets sold out in a few minutes, but what has been most discussed is the system of “dynamic pricing” adopted by Ticketmaster.
What is it? A legal but controversial practice that adjusts prices in real time based on demand. The result: tickets from 100 pounds which, under pressure from fans, have skyrocketed to 600 pounds (About 700 €) and wave of protests that prompted the British government to open a parliamentary investigation.
But, as if that were not enough, insult was added to the damage. of online scams: they are estimated over £2 million (2,3 million euros) lost in fraudulent purchases. The average loss? 510 euro per person. A fact that tells the other side of the coin of Oasismania. An assault on the ticket offices that has left stadiums full, but also thousands of fans empty-handed or worse, defrauded.
Streaming, fashion, vinyl: it's Oasismania again
Oasis aren't just a band. They're a cultural phenomenon. And the reunion has reawakened a collective fever that has overwhelmed music, fashion, collectibles and big brands. Oasis Live '25 it's not just a tour: it's a global revival that you hear in your headphones and see on the street.
Su Spotify, searches related to the group have increased by + 785 % after the tour announcement. Only Wonderwall has been inserted in over 510.000 playlists in a week. And in total, Oasis songs appear in 97 million playlists user-generated: a digital rebirth for the band that symbolized an analog era. But that's all the Oasis brand selling out fast: limited edition vinyls, collectible posters, t-shirts with graphics inspired by historical covers. In the UK, the official pop-up shops set up in the cities of the tour were literally taken by storm.
Among the partner brands, Adidas took the opportunity by launching the collection “adidas Originals x Oasis”, gone sold out in a few hours in the UK. The line, inspired by the styles worn and loved by the band since the 90s, celebrates 30 years of originality shared between the Three Stripes brand and the Gallagher brothers. The exclusive items will be available online throughout the11th July, while some selected items will land in Italy starting from 20th July.
The Land Rover took the opportunity, creating a special version of the Defender Octa model and a monumental mural in Manchester, home of Britpop. And even Lidl made his move by launching the 9th July of a “Oasis edition” jacket £30, inspired by Little by Little, already highly sought after online.

Live Forever… even in 2026?
The tour is called “Oasis Live '25”, but there are already those who look beyond. Persistent rumors speak of an extension in 2026, with a celebratory stop at knebworth for 30 years from the iconic concerts of 1996. Furthermore, continental Europe has so far been excluded from the calendar, leaving open the hypothesis of a European tour that could also pass through Italy with a possible date between Milan, the Olympic Stadium or the Circus Maximus in Rome.
The Gallaghers have discovered that, at least on stage, It's a good idea to make peace. Liam said it clearly: “I don't want to be separated from Noel anymore“. And with record numbers, global hype and a discography that has stood the test of time, stopping now seems almost impossible. After all, as they themselves sing: “You and I are gonna live forever".
