Brunello Cucinelli enters the field of creating "men's suits, including custom-made suits", with the acquisition of the business branch of the historic Avenza tailor's shop, and inaugurates the Scuola dei Mestieri in Solomeo which from next October will host craft techniques.
Cucinelli – reads a note from the fashion house listed on Piazza Affari – has reached a general agreement for the purchase from d'Avenza Fashion of a company branch specialized in the tailoring and tailoring of men's suits which today it employs 56 people. The purchase of the real estate complex located in the Municipality of Carrara, in the Avenza locality, is also envisaged, where the activity of the company branch takes place and will continue to take place. However, the purchase of the “d'Avenza” brand is not part of the operation.
The parties intend to finalize the purchase of the business unit and the property at the beginning of 2014 with the signing of the definitive contracts and the payment of the consideration, for a total amount not exceeding 3,5 million.
