Weather: bad weather until Friday, snow in the North

Bad weather warning over most of Italy. After a long anticipated spring, the month of April begins with a tailspin of winter: in reality it is not and will not be very cold, but an intense perturbation has already arrived on Wednesday 3 April in Northern Italy, which is bringing abundant rainfall (which on Thursday 4 April will extend over almost the whole peninsula, also in the Islands and in the South), abundant snowfall in the Alpine areas, risk of especially strong thunderstorms on the regions of the Tyrrhenian side, with possible floods, and also intense Scirocco winds which will sweep almost all regions until Thursday evening (in the South also on Friday), while temperatures will drop further in the northern regions.

The most critical forecasts are precisely for Thursday 4 April, while on Friday the weather improving in much of the Center-North, with the latest rainfall in the extreme North-East, while the tail end of the perturbation will make the weather in the southern regions even more unstable till SaturdaySunday the approach of a new perturbation from the western Mediterranean towards the Islands and South with partial interest also of Centro, but whose effects are still very uncertain.

As for temperatures, as mentioned these days they are decreasing almost everywhere, especially in the North, where the highs, especially in the North-East, in some cases will even drop below 10 degrees. Snow is also expected in the Alps so the minimums will easily drop around or below zero in altitude, especially in Piedmont. On the Apennine hills, on the other hand, it shouldn't go below 5-6 degrees, in any case a lower temperature than the average for the period. In Milan, 13 degrees are expected, in Rome 17, only in the South and on the Islands will it remain around 20. Temperatures on the rise almost everywhere on Friday, with residual rainfall only in the Centre-South.
