Here are the new taxes for this year – Starting immediately with the Ivie on properties abroad – In March, for those who exchange shares and securities, the Tobin Tax will arrive – From April, however, we will start with the Tares, a new tax on waste and municipal services paid for by residents (not landlords).

The new taxes of 2013: Tares, Ivie and Tobin Tax are coming

The Fisco welcomes Italians in 2013 with three new taxes: the Tares on waste and municipal services, the Ivie on overseas properties and the much controversial Tobin Tax on financial transactions). With these new taxes, associated with the one-point increase in the maximum VAT rate from 21% to 22% starting in July, the tax burden on Italians will reach 45,3%.

Let's get to know the new taxes better, analyzing them in chronological order:

IVIE, YOU PAY IMMEDIATELY

The Ivie, the tax on the value of real estate abroad, is immediately triggered. The rate is equal to 7,6 per thousand of the value of the house resulting from the deed of purchase or contract. The government has planned to collect 98 million euros a year from this tax alone.

TOBIN TAX FROM MARCH FIRST

The Tobin Tax will instead start from March 0,1 and will apply to "transfers of shares and equity securities". The levy will be equal to 0,2% on trades on regulated markets and 2013% for those on unregulated markets, the "over the counter" (OTC). For 0,12 the amount will be 0,22% and XNUMX% respectively, in order to compensate for the postponement to March. Instead, a fixed levy for derivatives and ad hoc rules for "high frequency" trading.

TARES, FROM APRIL THE NEW TAX ON WASTE

The Tares, which replaces the old Tarsu and also incorporates the tariff for environmental hygiene, will be paid from April. According to consumer associations, it will have an average weight of around 80 euros per family. The amount will be calculated according to the size of the property and will have to be paid by the resident, not the owner.
