Eng: Turicchi president takes the place of Altavilla

The appointment of Turicchi as president has already been in the air for a few days. The manager happens to Alfredo Altavilla, who officially resigned on November 7 after the clash with the MEF and the board of directors and the withdrawal of proxies.

Altavilla and the majority of the old board of directors, with the exception of the managing director, Fabio Lazzerini, had resigned on the eve of the previous shareholders' meeting, which however had not immediately approved the replacement of the directors, giving the green light only to the capital increase of 400 million.

Turicchi, wanted by the current Minister of the Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti, has been a long-term Treasury official since 1994, was general manager of CDP from 2002 to 2009, among other positions he was on the board of directors of various listed companies, from Mps to Autostrade per l'Italia and Leonardo and has also served on the board of the old Alitalia – CAI. Today is CEO of Fintecna, a position that he will apparently keep, given that the position of President of Ita is termed (10 months).

As president of Ita, Turicchi should have the same executive powers that Altavilla had in hand before collection, except for that relating to personnel management. The manager will therefore have exclusive powers over communication, institutional relations and strategies. It will be up to him to manage the privatization of the former national airline.

The new Board of Ita Airways
