It was only one, and not two as initially reported, the explosion that shook Istanbul in the evening. It is a car bomb that exploded near the Vodafone Arena, the Beksitas stadium in Istanbul, and according to Interior Minister Suleyman Noble it would have injured at least 20 agents.
Turkish CNN clarifies that the car bomb exploded just over two hours after the end of a match against Bursapor. The explosion took place not far from the point where the riot police are usually deployed, the target of the attack. The network reports that gunshots were also heard.
