Understanding St. Paul has positioned itself as theonly Italian bank, first in Europe e second globally of ranking of the 100 most sustainable listed companies in the world, drawn up by Corporate Knights, a company active in research on sustainable economy. The result was announced during the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Corporate Knights presented its annual analysis, which involved approximately 8.400 large companies listed worldwide.
La standings it's based on 25 performance indicators, ranging from people and resource management to sustainable financing and investments, as well as policies along the supply chain. According to Corporate Knights, the companies at the top of the list are those that put sustainability at the heart of their strategy and are actively investing in reducing carbon emissions.
This recognition is part of Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment, which in Business plan 2022-2025 has placed social impact and the fight against climate change among its global priorities. As further confirmation, a note underlines, the bank was also confirmed in 2024 in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (World and Europe), consolidating its position as the only Italian representative among banks.
