Day of the Contemporary Art: free admission to the MAXXI in Rome

The Roman museum will open its doors free of charge on the occasion of Contemporary Art Day, now in its eleventh edition – On 10 October, therefore, it will be possible to visit both the permanent collection and the temporary exhibitions of the MAXXI.

Day of the Contemporary Art: free admission to the MAXXI in Rome

The museum MAXXI of Rome opens its doors to the public free of charge on the occasion of Contemporary Day. The event promoted by Amaci, the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, has reached its eleventh edition, which takes place tomorrow, Saturday 10 October from 11 to 22.

Among the many museums participating in the initiative, the MAXXI stands out, as mentioned, where it will be possible to visit the permanent collection, over 30 works of art and 21 architectural projects, and the works on temporary display, including La Casa di Roma by the artist Pedro Cabrita Reis, a structure inserted inside the MAXXI square and the retrospective Barka by Sislej Xhafa, dedicated to the theme of contemporary conflicts and the migratory exodus.

The museum's permanent collection, located in Via Guido Reni, offers visitors a journey through the works of great masters and young artists, as well as projects by the most prestigious international architects. Furthermore, the museum library will be accessible from 11 to 18.
