Giacomo Matteotti 100 years later and the plaque of discord: the condominiums of his building more cowardly than Meloni

On the occasion of the centenary of June 10th of the fascist assassination of the valiant socialist socialist parliamentarian Giacomo Matteotti il Municipality of Rome has prepared one targa to be displayed on the facade of the building in via Pisanelli, in the Flaminio district, where the anti-fascist martyr lived. “In this house – says the plaque prepared by the Municipality of the Capital – Giacomo Matteotti lived until the day of his death for fascist hand. But the condominiums don't want to know: the plaque must be smaller than the one proposed (80 cm wide, 90 cm high and 3 cm thick) because it is "too impactful", but above all the reference to the "fascist hand" must be removed because “it would risk attracting vandalism”. As if nowadays there were no technologies that allow us to identify and therefore dissuade or punish vandals. Who knows what Matteotti would say when faced with such a pusillanimous attitude from the residents of the building in which he lived. Even the prime minister Giorgia Meloni, who would never utter the word anti-fascism even under torture, had to acknowledge for the first time in the Chamber that Matteotti was killed by "fascist squads“. Only the condominiums in via Pisanelli hide their heads in the sand. Shame on you, pusillanimous people, true or false.
