G7 Environment: "Agreement on everything, not on the climate"

Among the G7 Environment Ministers meeting in Bologna “there is complete agreement on all issues apart from the climate. I believe that the positions expressed at the beginning will remain as they are, there is no doubt about this, but I also believe that we have taken a step forward towards dialogue. We're doing a mending job. We will only know at the end of these two days what result he will have given. But we have already achieved one result, because we continue to talk, to identify common solutions and objectives”. This was stated by the Minister of the Environment, Gian Luca Galletti, during a pause in the work of the G7.

“Here it is a question of continuing a common path on many issues that are not just climate change – continued Galletti -. We discuss marine litter, Africa, green finance. Then the positions on Paris are distant, but the important thing
is not to get lost. In the environment, either everyone wins together or everyone loses. And even in difficult moments we must continue to dialogue, even from different positions".
