FS Italiane wins order in Colombia

Ferrovie dello Stato lands in Colombia. The group led by Gianfranco Battisti, through the subsidiary Italferr, was awarded a new order in a consortium with other international companies (including the Milanese Mm) regarding the supervision of the works of line 1 of the Bogota subway for a total value of more than 50 million euros.

The tender is part of the "Plmb - Primera Linea del Metro de Bogotà - Tramo 1" project, which establishes the construction of a 24 km long underground line which will cover 16 stations and underground sections.

In addition to Italferr, which holds a 25% stake, and Mm Spa, the consortium that won the contract also includes the Spanish Ayesa (40%) and the Colombian Mab Ingenieria de Valor (20%). The consortium will take care of the supervision of the works and the checks on the fulfillment of the contractual obligations on the investment of the main project.
We remember that in June it was also awarded the assets of PMC for the project of the Kanpur and Agra metro lines, two of the largest industrial cities in northern India, in partnership with the Spanish company Typsa. The contract, with a duration of 5 years and a total value of 43.6 million euro (Italferr share 19.4 million) will see the construction of 4 corridors of a total of 62.6 kilometers divided between the Metro Kanpur and Metro Agra systems, including 57 stations and 4 depots .
