The GDP of the Eurozone is growing slightly. Eurostat, in fact, confirmed the estimates for the third quarter, which speak of an increase in GDP of 0,2% in the currency union and 0,3% in the EU compared to the previous quarter (+0,1% and +0,2, 0,8% respectively). Forecasts are also unchanged compared to the previous year: GDP recorded an increase of 1,3% in the Eurozone and 1% in the EU. US GDP, on the other hand, increased by 2,4% compared to the second quarter and by XNUMX% on an annual basis.
Italy, on the other hand, registers a trend in contrast with that of the currency union. The Italian GDP recorded a contraction of 0,1% compared to the second quarter and of 0,5% on an annual basis. The only other countries to have recorded negative growth in the period considered are Austria and Cyprus.
Growth Germany, +0,1% compared to the second quarter of 2014 after -0,1% in the second (+1,2% compared to the third quarter of 2015), France, +0,3% after -0,1% (+ 0,4% compared to the previous year) and Spain, +0,5% after +0,5% (+1,6% compared to the previous year).
