Eurozone, industrial production disappoints

That figure was down 1,1% month-on-month and up 0,2% year-over-year in October – Economists had forecast growth of 0,2% month-on-month and 1,1% on year.

Eurozone, industrial production disappoints

In October the industrial production it fell on a monthly basis by 1,1% in the Eurozone and by 0,7% in the European Union as a whole. On an annual basis, however, there were increases of 0,2 and 0,8% respectively. Eurostat communicated this today, specifying that the data have been corrected on the basis of differences in working days. 

The data for the euro area are well below the estimates of economists, who had expected growth of 0,2% on the month and 1,1% on the year.
