Enel, Conti: "We won't stop on nuclear power"

Fulvio Conti, the managing director of the Italian energy giant, does not give up in the battle for nuclear energy. “We will continue to research technological developments which, in the not too distant future, could also be applied in our country”.

The yes voted loudly by the Italians does not seem to frighten the CEO of Enel, Fulvio Conti. “The Italian game on the atom is not closed forever. We continue to be heavily dependent on nuclear power, importing 14% of energy from countries such as France, Switzerland and Slovenia” Fulvio Conti told Sky Tg24.
Italy satisfies its needs, especially at night, thanks to the energy produced in the nuclear power plants of neighboring countries, such as Slovakia and Spain. And it is precisely there that Enel continues to invest in nuclear projects, especially in France where it is collaborating with EDF on a new building.
"Furthermore", added Conti, "we will continue to study in the field of research the technological evolutions that can be applied in these countries, but also, in the not too distant future, in ours."
