Consult, unanimous yes to the referendum on nuclear power

The word to the citizens. With a unanimous decision, the Constitutional Court has defined the referendum question on nuclear power as admissible. The new version was formulated by the Supreme Court after the changes contained in the omnibus decree. The news was released today by the committee promoting the consultation, "Vote yes for the referendum". The Attorney General of the State requested that the referendum be declared inadmissible on behalf of the Prime Minister. After the instrumental doubts advanced by the nuclearists on the new question, today another decisive step is taken towards the quorum: now we demand that public and private information let citizens know that on Sunday and Monday, with the questions on water and nuclear power, the decision will be their security and their future.
Yesterday the newly elected president of the Constitutional Court, Alfonso Quaranta, anticipated that in all likelihood the Consultation would definitively establish the legitimacy of the question. On June 12 and 13, voters will be called to decide whether to reject the construction of new nuclear power plants in Italy, even if the plan to resume the production of this type of energy has been suspended pending safety assessments.
