Consumer prices of the Asian giant are expected to slow down, and according to estimates, inflation will fall below 5% within two months, however remaining higher than the 4% annual limit set by the Beijing government

Chinese consumer prices expected to slow down. According to a senior Chinese economic planning official, thecountry's inflation will fall below 5% in November and December thanks to the confidence placed in the Government that it may have taken the upper hand in its fight against inflation.

Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, Peng Sen, said that inflation in China has peaked and consumer price growth has begun to slow down in August. However, senior Chinese officials have stressed that containing price growth remains Beijing's top policy priority as inflation will remain above the 4% annual target set by the Chinese government.
