Carige has given the green light to the IT outsourcing project in alliance with IBM.
According to a note, the board of directors meeting yesterday, 2 February, approved the project for the outsourcing of the group information system to IBM and the consequent start of the authorization process at the ECB.
The board of directors also "took note of the analytical report" of the managing director Paolo Fiorentino regarding the letter, sent last January 11 by Malacalza Investimenti and revealed by Il Secolo XIX, in which the leading shareholder asked for "a franc clarification” on the procedures for the capital increase with particular reference to the activities of the bank guarantee consortium.
Finally, during a meeting, the board of directors approved the guidelines of the 2018 budget "with a focus on the bank's ordinary business to return to profitability". In the note, the bank confirms "the targets set by the 2017-20 business plan": particular attention, it is noted, "will be dedicated to reducing the cost/income ratio, an important objective to be pursued over the next three years".
The Board of Directors meeting on 9 February will instead focus on the approval of the preliminary results for the 2017 financial year.
