MEDIASET STILL SUPERSTAR, ENEL IN BRAKING
INTEL'S MORTGAGE IS OVER THE OPENING OF WALL STREET
Cautious bags ahead of the weekend. TO Milan the Ftse Mib index it loses 0,40% to 17.517 points, after having scored a maximum at the start of 17.709 points.
Little moved it Bund/Btp spread to 256 points (-1 bp).
Down 0,04% Frankfurt and up 0,17% Paris. London +0,54% and Madrid .
The Stoxx 600 index is flat in the middle of the session: the global index of European equities has risen in the last six months by 11% and is at its highest level since February 2011.
Meanwhile, on Wall Street we report the -5% in the premarket of Intel after the disappointing forecasts on 2013 in the quarterly. STM loses 1,3%
The higher-than-expected rise in Chinese GDP in the fourth quarter is not enough to give a boost to the market also because this morning's data on retail sales in Great Britain fell short of expectations: in December, a key month, they fell by 0,1% against expectations of a rise of 0,2%.
Il Wti oil trades at 95,5 dollars, is flat after yesterday's stretch triggered by traumatic events at the BP gas field in Algeria, still at its highest since mid-September.
Mediaset +6,5% remains the great protagonist of the Stock Exchange. The share rises by 7,5%: Berenberg brought the target price to 2,6 euros and confirmed the Buy recommendation. Remaining in the Berlusconi galaxy, Mondadori rises by 4%.
Among other reports from analysts: salt Ansaldo StS +2,38%, Goldman Sachs raised recommendation to neutral from sell.
Recommended Buzzi +4,24%: the title receives the promotion of Exane to outperform from underperform. The same broker cut Italcementi -0,8% from neutral to underperform.
Enel is the worst stock in the main Italian basket with a decline of 2,56% after UBS cut rating to sell from neutral.
Banks go up at a slow trot: Unicredit +1,38% and Intesa +0,87%. Banco Popolare -0,77% and Ubi Banca -0,55% decreased. Mediobanca -1,11%.
Generali nixed gains and lost 0,43%. Mario Greco confirmed the negotiations for the assets put up for sale by the company, BSI and the US subsidiary active in reinsurance.
Fondiaria Sai gains 4% (after +11% yesterday), Unipol 2%.
Fiat -0,09% The manufacturer has signed an agreement with Mazda to produce a new car under the Alfa Romeo brand.
Saipem +0,5% is about to receive a 1,4 billion dollar order in Nigeria.
Telecom Italia is up 0,26%. The Brazilian telephone authorities have dropped the charges against Tim Brazil by lifting the suspension of the bans on commercial practices already prohibited. Tim Participacoes gained 2,6% last night. The group has decided to go ahead with the sale of Telecom Italia Media even if the offers are much lower than what is expressed by the stock market price.
