Stock market, record collapse: today's is the worst since May 2010

After black friday, very black monday. The nightmare continues in Piazza Affari, which closed trading today with a loss of 3,96%, at 18127 points. This is the worst performance for more than a year now. To find a more negative day we have to go back to 14 May 2010, when Milan closed in the red by as much as 5,26%. In terms of points, however, today's debalce also exceeds that of last year, when it reached 18383.

Today's crash is therefore one of the worst in recent years, but fortunately it remains far from the figures of the disasters that have marked history. It was 6 October 2008, in the midst of the financial crisis, when the Italian Stock Exchange let savers know about the worst collapse ever, the blackest of black days: a loss of 8,24 percentage points, for an absolute minimum of 12621 points .
