Bernabè launches Spac for the green transition: third novelty in a few days after steel and Dazn

Franco Bernabè, together with two partners and with the support of the banks, launches a Spac focused on the green transition: the Spac is called Sustainable Ventures and the placement on the Italian Stock Exchange starts today with the aim of raising 150 million euros, to which Intesa Sanpaolo, UnipolSai and Camfin Alternative Assets have already joined "recognizing the uniqueness and quality of the project and the team". Trading on the Stock Exchange will begin in March.

The SPAC is promoted by Bernabè, former CEO of Eni and Telecom Italia, and currently president of Acciaierie d'Italia (formerly Ilva) on which he is working under cover to encourage its relaunch.

The other partners of Bernabè are Charles Calabria, founder of Cmc Capital and long-time investment banking captain, e Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, president of Heritage Group.

The target sectors of the SPAC are those of the green transition supported by the PNRR

"The target sectors - explains a note from Sustainable Ventures - will be those that directly or indirectly benefit from the green transition, one of the pillars of the PNRR, including sustainable mobility, the circular economy, renewable energy sources and all sectors related to electrification”.

Bernabè's three passions today: steel, energy and TLC

The promotion of SPAC, in a sector he has known very well since he was at Eni, marks the renewed dynamism that characterizes Bernabè these days. In less than 10 days, in addition to launching the Spac, Bernabè has become strategic advisor of Dazn, the network that manages football streaming, after winning the tender for the television rights. But above all he has also become president of DRI, the new Invitalia company that aims to reduce the use of coal in the steel industry.

In short, steel, energy and TLC are the three passions that fill Bernabè's days, one of the most popular managers in Italy and abroad for his expertise and his ethical rigor. And that's not to say that it's over here and that no other news will arrive soon.
