Salvatore Rossi is the new general manager of the Bank of Italy. WHO IS SALVATORE ROSSI

Red, born in Bari on 6 January 1949 and graduated in mathematics from the University of Bari with a thesis in Mathematical Physics, he has been a member of the Directorate and Deputy Director General of the Bank of Italy since 17 January 2012. He is a member of the Integrated Directorate of the Institute for Insurance Supervision (IVASS) from 2013 January 2013. In XNUMX he was part of the "Working Group on economic - social and European matters", set up by the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano. 

In 2011 he was general secretary of the Banca d'Italia and adviser to the directorate for economic policy problems. From 2007 to 2011 he was Central Director for Economic Research and International Relations. Between 1997 and 2007 he was first deputy head and then from 2000 head of the Research Department of the Bank of Italy. 

Rossi is a member of the Strategic Committee of the Italian Strategic Fund (FSI), of the Board of Directors of the Foundation of the International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies (ICMB) in Geneva, of the Presidential Council of the Italian Society of Economists (SIE), of the Governing Council of the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (Eief), of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (Iai), of the Board of Directors of the Adriano Olivetti Institute (Istao), of the Scientific Committee of the magazine L'industria, of the Eurosystem It Steering Committee.

WHO IS VALERIA SANNUCCI

As for Sannucci, born in Rome in 1953, graduated in 1976 from the Faculty of Economics and Commerce of the La Sapienza University of Rome. Since December 2012 she has been the central director for the coordination of activities connected with participation in the Eurosystem, also with reference to the Banking Union project. In the Bank of Italy since 1977, you are initially assigned to the Exchange Office of the Milan office. In 1979 you moved to the Research Department, where you worked first in the international sector and then in the monetary sector, reaching the position of head of the financial accounts office.

From 1986 to 1992 he contributed to the research and analysis work carried out by the Historical Research Office in view of the publications for the centenary of the Bank of Italy. After a new period of work in the management of the Monetary Sector of the Research Service, in 1996 he joined the Human Resources Management Service, of which he took over the management in 2006, on the eve of the start of the works connected to the reorganization of the territorial network.
