Nike inc is an American company that develops, manufactures and markets sports footwear, apparel and accessories. Nike markets its products all over the world. In addition to the Nike brand, the brands are also part of the company Jordans and Converse. Since 2016, its products have been aimed at specific categories: running, basketball, Jordan Brand, football, men's and women's training, action sports, golf and Sportswear (sport-inspired lifestyle products).

Nike was born on January 25, 1964 with the name Blue Ribbon Sports. The current name comes in 1971 and is a tribute to the Greek goddess of victory Nike. Blue Ribbon Sports was born from the work of Bill Bowerman e Phil Knight to import sports shoes from Japan Tigers.
