Armani: no more furs, from 2016 collections

The Armani Group has announced its intention to totally abolish the use of animal furs from the collections produced by the fashion house.

The announcement came directly from Giorgio Armani who explained the company's fur-free breakthrough: "The technological progress achieved in recent years allows us to have valid alternatives available that make use of cruel practices towards animals useless".

Starting from the autumn-winter 2016/2017 season, all groups controlled by the Armani brand will no longer use animal hair.

Joh Vindig, president of the Fur Free Alliance, applauds Armani's choice. "For decades Giorgio Armani has been a trendsetter in the fashion world and his latest communication is proof that sensitivity and innovation represent the future of this sector," he said.
