Worldline enters the Metaverse with a virtual showroom dedicated to e-commerce businesses to “provide its merchants with the opportunities they need to fully benefit from the incredible potential this world has to offer”. The solution developed by the French company specializing in payment services and by Bitcoin Suisse, processor partner for virtual currencies, allows end consumers to purchase goods and services, with or without cryptocurrency.
The French company added that it is only the first step of a broader investment strategy in products related to three-dimensional virtual worlds. For example, solutions defined as “Metaverse white label” for merchants: Worldline customers will be able to open digital shops with direct connections to all means of payment options provided by the company.
In detail, the Worldline Metaverse showroom is located in Decentraland, in the Crypto Valley area and currently includes the following features: an area dedicated to the merchant of the month in which the product can be purchased directly through the Worldline payment engine; a coffee space managed by PAYONE (Worldline's joint venture with the German group Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe); a virtual stage for events and, finally, support for charitable projects, starting with support for Ukraine through a well-known charity.
