Wind ready to consolidate itself on the Italian market

Wind is ready to examine "all opportunities" to consolidate itself in the Italian telecommunications market. The CEO of the company, Ossama Bessada, believes that there is space in the telecommunications sector and that consolidation is a possible process throughout Europe and in the United States.
Bessada declared today, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the flagship store in Piazza di Spagna in Rome, that he has the support of shareholders both in terms of investing and in the case of acquisitions, mergers and frequencies, always on the Italian market. The prospect is to create synergies with another company already present on the market, but when asked about the possible interest in company 3, the CEO cautiously replies that he does not want to make statements about other companies.
Thanks to the merger with Vimplecom, Wind has become the sixth largest telecommunications group in the world and today has a budget from the Russian group, which is financially very solid, "and this is what gives us the impetus to invest in Italy," said Bassada.
On the appointment of the president of Wind he added that "it is an ongoing process" and that "there is no hurry because there is already a president: that of Vimplecom".
As for the frequencies, Bessada said that the company will make a decision only after having seen the rules of the competition and that at the moment it is not a necessity. Prices and payment methods will be carefully evaluated and a decision will be made only afterwards.
