Open Fiber together with eight other large companies such as A2A, Engineering, Eni, FiberCop, Fincantieri, Intesa Sanpaolo, ITA Airways, Leonardo has established the Foundation "Let's Grow the Future"“, a tool to give concrete implementation to a social project to support employees and local communities, with the aim of combat the birth rate and promote work-life balanceThe formal establishment of the foundation lays the foundation for a multi-level collaboration process that began last year and which also saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies on the project "We grow the future”, which provides for the creation and development of the largest national network of widespread nursery schools, which all employees of participating companies can access.
The Foundation it is non-profit and is exclusively dedicated to civic, solidarity, and socially beneficial purposes. Its primary objective is therefore the implementation of interventions and services of general interest aimed at supporting families and parenting, providing early childhood education and instruction, combating child abandonment, and promoting equal opportunities and social rights. These objectives will also be pursued by facilitating the placement of children in safe and suitable environments for their development.
Among the activities that the Foundation will be able to carry out, initially aimed at the children of the employees of the founding members and, subsequently also opened to those of the participating members and to the local communities, include: the direct or indirect management of nurseries and kindergartens; the creation and coordination of a network of institutions to make the service as accessible as possible; the direct and indirect management of a digital platform essential for the exchange of information regarding access to school and childcare facilities.
