Usa, manufacturing hardly grows. Results far below expectations

The American manufacturing sector is growing, but at a very slow pace. The index elaborated by the ISM (Institute for Supply Management) marks a drop of 4,4 points in July compared to the previous month, settling at 50,9 points. The figure negatively surprises analysts, whose expectations contemplated a much more contained loss: 54 points, about one point less than the value measured in June (55,3 points). Such a decline in the index places the sector just above the zero growth threshold, corresponding to 50 points.
