Unioncamere: internationalisation, 2013 million invested in 87

A network of 39 business associations representing 65 countries from all continents; a base of approximately 5.500 associates; over 10 million euros of resources managed, the result of the sale of services to its members and to an audience of over 10 thousand companies in the reference countries and no public contributions. This is the identikit of the mixed Italian-foreign and foreign Chambers of Commerce in Italy that emerges from the annual Forum, taking place today in Rome, organized by Unioncamere through its own Section dedicated to supporting and coordinating this important element of the promotion system of the Italian economy in the world. "The mixed Italian-foreign and foreign Chambers of Commerce in Italy are an important intermediation point for our economy towards the rest of the world, even more valid in these years of crisis in which Italy is holding up above all thanks to the performance of companies on international markets” – said the president of Unioncamere and of the Section for mixed chambers, Ferruccio Dardanello, speaking at the opening of the Forum.

“Today the Mixed Rooms – added Dardanello – are realities with different operational capacities and professional skills, in some cases very advanced in others still to be fully developed. Unioncamere, through its Section, is committed to supporting the dialogue between the various points of this system, to make it increasingly homogeneous and integrated with the network of other chamber structures for internationalization and an active part of Italy's promotion system in the world". In 2013, the Italian chamber of commerce system invested a total of over 87 million euros to promote the internationalization of companies, both by participating in system initiatives - defined on the basis of the planning of the control room in agreement between the Government, Regions, Ice-Agency, Unioncamere, ABI, Confidustria, Rete Imprese Italia and Alleanza Cooperative - both by carrying out interventions in support of entrepreneurial missions carried out by the Chambers of commerce. Compared to 2012, from a sectoral point of view, initiatives in the agri-food sector (+14,9%) and tourism (+8,2%) have grown in particular. As for the typologies, 2013 recorded a greater dynamism in the support of outgoing missions (+33,3%) and trade fair participation (+36,2%).

During the Forum, the results of some of the initiatives which, during 2013, saw the participation of mixed Italian-foreign and foreign chambers in Italy were also presented: the "TF Tracebility & Fashion" project for the promotion of the Italian system of traceability in the personal fashion sector in Russia and actions in support of innovative "Green-tech" companies in China, as part of a project supported by the Ministry of Economic Development in synergy with Unioncamere, Assocamestero and with the technical coordination of Mondimpresa . The aim of the initiative is the promotion of Italian excellence in green economy technologies (in particular, in the field of environmental technologies) and renewable energy, through partnership actions between Italian companies and companies operating - as well as in China - in the Czech Republic , in the Slovak Republic, in Romania and in Switzerland.
