Trenitalia: the Frecciarossa returns between Milan and Paris. From 15 June, a new fast connection Paris–Marseille

After a long wait, the Frecciarossa resumes travelling along the famous route that connects Milan and Paris, reporting the experience of theHigh speed di Trenitalia e Italian State Railways in France. The service, interrupted in 2023 due to a landslide in the Maurienne valley, restarted today with the first ride at 6:25 in the morning.

Are provided four daily trips (two from Milan and two from Paris). Trains leave from Milan at 6:25 and 15:53, while from Paris departures are at 7:30 and 15:20, offering 1.840 seats per day. The journey, which it lasts about 7 hours, includes stops in Lyon, Chambéry, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Modane, Oulx and Turin. THE Tickets they are purchasable starting from 35 euro through Trenitalia channels, in Italian and French stations, and through distribution partners.

Trenitalia: from June 15th also the Paris-Marseille connection

The real news will arrive on June 15, 2025, when Trenitalia will extend the service also on Paris–Marseille route, with four daily trips. The journey, of the duration 3 hours and 20 minutes, will connect the French capital, departing from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon, to the Saint-Charles station in Marseille. The intermediate stops will be Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille Saint-Charles.

The CEO of Trenitalia, Gianpiero Strisciuglio, underlined the importance of this restart: "The Frecciarossa Milan-Paris marks an important restart for Trenitalia and for the FS Group. A connection that goes beyond the Italian borders and represents an opportunity for passengers to plan their train journey to France not only from Milan and Turin, but also from other Italian locations served by Trenitalia". Since December 2021, Trenitalia France has transported over three million passengers.
