The company that manages the airports of Pisa and Florence is planning to expand the two airports, an initiative that will create employment, bringing as many as 3600 jobs by 2029. The news was reported by a local newspaper, specifying that the 3600 estimated hirings concern only direct placements, to which must be added the jobs that can be created by related industries, which could involve 11.700 workers.

Toscana Aeroporti, in fact, recently presented the projects to carry forward the two Masterplans for the development of the integrated system of the two Tuscan airports which envisage investments of more than half a billion by 2029. Much will depend on the approval of the construction of the new runway Peretola, whose construction is awaiting approval. The development plan, in fact, aims to reach over 130 destinations worldwide, hosting 45 airlines and with a frequency of 160 daily flights, by 2029.

The news made the share take off, which around 11 am increased by 4,6% to 16,77 euros. Over the past week, shares have gained 5,3 percent.
