For Salini Impregilo an additional 240 million euro agreement to complete the Copenhagen metro. The construction group, through the company Copenhagen Metro Team (Cmt, wholly controlled by Salini Impregilo), has signed an additional agreement with Metroselskabet, "with which additional works are awarded for an amount of around 240 million for the completion of the new Cityringen subway”. With this agreement, the amount of the order reaches approximately 1,85 billion.
The operation started in 2011, when Salini was awarded the contract for the construction of the underground line, for over 16 kilometers in the city center with 17 new stations, for a value of approximately 1,5 billion. The line, “completely automated, will operate 24 hours a day and will guarantee the mobility of over 24 million passengers a year. The Danish capital today boasts the most advanced public mobility system in Europe”. And also the title Salini Impregilo on the Stock Exchange it benefits from the important contract: at the opening it gains almost 2% in Piazza Affari a 2,62 euro.
