The alliance between Alitalia and Air France “continues very well from an industrial point of view. The corporate merger is an issue that is not on the agenda and above all concerns the shareholders”. This was stated by the managing director of Alitalia, Rocco Sabelli.

As for Alitalia's accounts, which were expected to break even at the end of 2011, Sabelli explained that "if there is no break even, we won't go far". As for the performance of the passenger traffic of the company, the CEO he reiterated that it is "fine, the volumes are there, but business traffic, as we have already said, suffers".
