Gucci offers 13 million euros for Richard Ginori. The leading group in the luxury sector has presented a bid for Richard Ginori, now in bankruptcy. The proposal includes a commitment to hire 230 employees (of the current 302).

“The decision by Gucci to present the offer – reads the press release – is consistent with the strategy of enhancing the excellence of Made in Italy in the world. The offer is based on a long-term industrial and strategic project and aims to protect and relaunch a historical brand of Florence, which is Richard Ginori, which has always been synonymous with quality and craftsmanship”. 

The business plan, continues the press release, “will leverage the skills, know-how and synergies existing between the two brands. In particular, on the one hand it will focus, in the short-medium term, on the development of products and on the production of items for the tableware sector, dedicated to the luxury segment, while on the other hand it will contribute with the resources and support necessary to develop and make Richard Ginori's activities sustainable also in the long term”.
