CDP obtained a score of 67 out of 100, placing it third in the sectoral classification and 58th out of 1.625 companies in the European one

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti sponsored by Moody's for its performance in terms of sustainability and adherence to ESG criteria (“Environmental, Social and Governance”). 

Moody's raises CDP's sustainability rating

At the conclusion of the rating process, Moody's ESG Solutions, a division of the rating agency dedicated to sustainability, has increased by 3 points compared to 2021 the opinion on the activities of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti that fall within the Sustainability rating. The company has thus achieved a score equal to 67/100.

"Cdp's positioning this year was among the highest of the companies evaluated by Moody's ESG Solutions", underlines the company led by Dario Scannpieco which placed third out of twenty-two in the ranking relating to its sector, 58th out of 1.625 in the European ranking, also conquering the best category for its Sustainability rating class (A1).

The reasons for the increase

According to the analysis of Moody's CDP would have recorded improvements on every dimension thanks to the results achieved in the field of implementation of ESG topics. A judgment which, according to the company, demonstrates that "CDP's attention to sustainability continues and is strengthened, as envisaged in the 2022-2024 Strategic Plan and in line with the best practices of international financial institutions".

“The challenge in the coming years will be to maintain and strengthen this positioning over time with a view to continuous improvement in the field of implementation of ESG issues”, concludes Cdp.
