Fininvenst, through Unicredit Bank AG of Milan, has completed the placement of 41.300.000 Mediolanum ordinary shares, equal to 5,61% of the share capital. And Mediolanum shares, which opened on the stock exchange down 4,5% to 6,13 euros, collapsed and lost almost 6%.
The placement, carried out through accelerated bookbuilding aimed at qualified Italian and foreign investors, closed at a final price of 6,12 euro per share with a net proceeds by Fininvest of approximately 253 million.
The transaction will be settled on December 16, 2013.
