Marchionne: "Car market bad in August while Brazil and North America are flying"

Perhaps because of the skyrocketing price of petrol, perhaps because of the rampant pessimism but "such low numbers have never been seen before". To pronounce these words the CEO of Fiat Sergio Marchionne and the object of his regret is the Italian car market in August. Marchionne, on the sidelines of the commemorations of the murder of General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, remarked how this is a "not good" period for selling cars in Italy and "totally in line with forecasts. On the contrary, Brazil and North America did well”.

The CEO of Lingotto then confirmed his propensity to possibly meet the Minister of Labor Fornero in a short time, even if the date of the meeting has not yet been set. In the meantime, the agenda of institutional meetings does not remain empty. Tomorrow Machionne will meet the President of the Serbian Republic Tomislav Nicolic. The aim of the meeting is "to resolve the pending matters with the Balkan government regarding the investments made in Serbia". The Fiat managing director was optimistic, arguing that with Serbia "a long way has already been covered" and that in Serbia the 500l "is coming out well and this is the important thing".
