Maire Tecnimont: new 145 million contracts in Saudi Arabia and Brazil, shares soar on the Stock Exchange

The Rome-based company has announced that it has been awarded, through its subsidiaries, two contracts worth about 145 million dollars for the construction of some projects in Saudi Arabia and Brazil - After the news, the stock soared on the Stock Exchange.

Maire Tecnimont announced that the subsidiaries Tecnimont and Tecnimont do Brasil Ltda were awarded two contracts respectively in Saudi Arabia and in Brazil for a total value of approximately USD 145 million.

As for Saudi Arabia, Tecnimont was awarded a contract to build a special project in Al-Jubail to support the operational activities of affiliated companies of the chemical and petrochemical giant Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic). The contract, which confirms the Maire Tecnimont group's tradition in the Middle East, is worth approximately $63 million.

Tecnimont do Brasil was awarded instead an engineering and support services contract relating to a new fertilizer complex on behalf of Petrobas, as leader of a consortium of Brazilian companies. The contract has a total value of around 82 million dollars.

After this news, Maire Tecnimont's shares began to float on the stock market, gaining 9,22% in the morning.
