Made in Italy, Saet Group doubles in India

SAET Group doubles its production site in India. The Turin multinational group led by David Canavesio, specialized in induction heat treatment plants, opens its second plant in Pune, the fourth largest industrial city in India, 150 km from Mumbai.

On an area of more than 2200 mXNUMX, they will produce induction heat treatment equipment for the automotive, wind power and earthmoving industries intended for both the local market, currently growing strongly, as well as expanding into foreign markets, including Canada and Turkey. After closing 2011 with a turnover of 1.7 million euros, thanks to the expansion of production, the Indian office aims to reach 3 million annually, occupying about 100 people, mainly specialists in power electronics, mechanical design, coil manufacturing and heat treatment processes.

The plant can count on SAET's Italian experience in terms of project design and execution. “SAET's new investment in India” stresses David Canavesio, CEO of Saet Group “it is the natural response to the expansion of the local market. But it is also, and above all, part of a process of international development over the medium and long term, based on continuous investment in high quality manufacturing, a strong point of Italian industry recognized and appreciated all over the world”.

“The next few years, ad start from 2013” explains Rajesh Sabharwal, Senior General Manager India of SAET “for us they will mean an approach to business more dedicated to offering ever more technologically advanced products and to producing for international companies, which are increasingly bringing their production to India. These opportunities will determine the growth of our share of turnover within SAET from around 3% today to 10% by 2016”.

SAET Group has been in India since 2007, the year in which it acquired IEI-Induction Equipment India, today SAET India, a company with 25 years of history among the major local producers in the induction sector, specialized in automotive machinery and which now constitutes the local component of the Group.
