Leonardo, who has shone in recent weeks because of his business related to defense, but also continues to increase its own presence in the civil sector, even with the entry into new markets.

The company headed by Roberto Cingolani announced new orders for approximately 30 helicopters of different models, intended for operators in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region for a total value of approximately 370 million of euros and deliveries between 2026 and 2028.

Helicopters were designed to support theEnergy industry, rescue and public utility and VIP transport, as the company explained in a statement.

The Leonardo title, in an anemic Piazza Affari (-0,04%), stands out in the late morning with a +2,36% to 44,75 euros, bringing its increase in 6 months to +117,44%.

In detail, orders have been obtained for the AW109 GrandNew, AW169, AW139 and AW189 models. There are also preliminary contracts for 15 new generation AW09 single-engine helicopters destined for customers in Europe and South-East Asia. Leonardo then announced the entry in new markets, in particular in support of the'energy industry and for rescue missions with the AW169 and AW189 models and the provision of the latest simulation technologies for pilot training, including the VxR virtual reality simulator.

Leonardo he announced this week its industrial plan and data for 2024 which closed with a profit growth of 63% and orders up 12,2% with a portfolio exceeding 44 billion euros.
