Italy, record public debt

The response contained in the Public Finance supplement to Bank of Italy's Statistical Bulletin is severe: in April, public debt reached a record level of 1890,6 billion euro. An increase of 22 billion compared to March, when the debt had marked a decrease to 1868,2 billion.

The parameters are better on the revenue side, again according to the Bank of Italy. Revenue net of special collection funds amounted to 111 billion euro, compared to 104,7 in the same period of 2010. An increase of 5,97%.
