Intesa SanPaolo: MyBank, the pan-European solution for e-commerce, is ready

As part of the initiatives aimed at developing e-commerce services, Intesa Sanpaolo has joined the new MyBank service, a pan-European solution promoted by Eba Clearing for making online payments from merchants' websites in a simple and secure way.

MyBank represents the first step in a broader strategy aimed at strengthening the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's e-commerce offer and in this first trial phase it is available to a group of customers who will collaborate with the Bank in order to consolidate the service in view of the official launch, scheduled for next July.

The MyBank solution will be integrated into Setefi's offer and thanks to a single value-added service contract and a single management and assistance model, businesses will be able to expand their collection possibilities.

MyBank is a solution designed to facilitate the "online" use of SEPA payment instruments in e-commerce and e-government transactions. It is based on an operating method that conveys the electronic authorizations (e-authorisation), relating to payments for e-commerce, through the SEPA Credit Transfer scheme and will subsequently also be used for the transmission of the associated electronic mandates (e-mandates) to SEPA Direct Debit.

MyBank allows the online seller to immediately receive confirmation of the transfer order which will actually be credited within the following working day. The payment details relating to the purchase will automatically be displayed on your bank's online banking system and the customer will be able to confirm the transaction details by authorizing the transfer. The electronic authorization of the buyer customer will be considered irrevocable allowing immediately the shipment of the goods or the provision of the service.
