Iliad celebrates an important milestone in its growth, with the iEntering the top five of telephone operators in Europe thanks to 50 millions of subscribers (40 million mobile and 10 million fixed line). The telecommunications giant, led by Xavier Niel, has announced the results for the first half of 2024, confirming the positive results already reported in the first quarter. revenues grew by 10,3%, reaching 4,9 billion euros, and the company acquired 1 million 380 thousand new subscribers, of which 621 thousand in the second quarter alone. Theebitda after lease rose to 1,86 billion euros (+13,2%) and theNet income rose 8,6% to €251 million, although non-recurring positive items and a higher tax burden partially mitigated the increase. The company now aims to reach €10 billion in revenue by the end of the year.

Performance in Italy: Boom in Revenues and Users in the First Half of 2024

The Italy confirms itself as a key market for the French operator. In the first half of 2024, the revenues in Italy they increased by 11,5%, reaching 552 million euros, with an increase of 10,2% in the second quarter alone, where revenues amounted to 280 million euros. TheEbita after lease went from 117 million to 147 million euros, with a growth of 25,6%, and the net cash flow became positive by 23 million euros, compared to a negative value of 5 million last year. The investments remained stable at 124 million euros.

Iliad continues to dominate the mobile market in Italy, marking the twenty-fifth consecutive quarter of Net user growth. A little over six years after its entry into the Italian telephone market, the French operator has passed the threshold of 11 million 565 thousand active users in the mobile and fixed segments, with an increase of 279 thousand new net subscribers in the second quarter alone. In addition, the company acquired 35 thousand new fixed-line customers, bringing the total to 280 thousand and almost doubling the customer base compared to 149 thousand in June 2023. “Year after year, we have demonstrated how Iliad contributes to the development of the country. Levi also underlined that the growth in the Ftth fiber segment, with an almost doubled customer base, represents a sign of the growing awareness of users in terms of quality and transparency.

Iliad also grows in France and Poland

At group level, brilliant results also emerged in other markets: in France, revenues rose by 9,6%, approaching 3,2 billion euros, while in Poland turnover increased by 12%, reaching 1,16 billion euros. Margins are also growing in these countries, with an increase in EBITDA of 11,3% in France, to 1,23 billion euros, and of 15% in Poland, to 477 million euros.
