Guber Banca takes over Npl for 350 million

The bank founded in 1991 by Francesco Guarneri and Gianluigi Bertini has purchased another three portfolios of non-performing loans: since the beginning of the year it has taken over 1 billion Npl.

Guber Banca, active in the credit management sector in Italy with approximately 9 billion euro of loans under management, has announced the acquisition of three portfolios for a total nominal value of over 350 million euro on the secondary market. In total there are 5 operations since the beginning of the year, for a total value of over 1 billion.

The last three portfolios have a mixed composition, defined by:

  • an unsecured component (whose receivables derive from consumer loans and credit cards) with a GBV of 327,5 million for approximately 46 positions nationwide;
  • a mortgage component, with a gross value of 23,9 million, equal to 30 positions mainly located in Emilia Romagna and Lombardy.

Guber Bank, Founded in 1991, specializes in the business of servicing and in the direct purchase of portfolios, also in partnership with third party investors.

Federico Guarneri, head of the Bank Loans division of Guber Banca, commented as follows: “With this operation, Guber Banca continues in the process of consolidating its business strategy. Since the beginning of the year, the Bank has in fact completed five acquisitions of NPL portfolios for a nominal value of over 1 billion euro confirming the focus in the field distressed and laying solid foundations for the development of future initiatives also in the area of ​​loans In bonis, such as the imminently launched factoring”.
