Grandi Navi Veloci, record turnover in August

Grandi Navi Veloci closes the first 8 months with a growing turnover compared to last year, archiving a record August: sales made in the month register a +11% and the turnover relating to trips made in the month stands at +14%.

The positive signal recorded on 20 July, the day of record daily sales, was confirmed by a season that rewarded the Company's investments and strategy: the number of passengers carried has grown by double digits on all reference markets, rewarding the decision to diversify the route portfolio compared to the past.

“It is an extremely satisfying result, which once again confirms the solidity and ability to do business of our Company – he underlines Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of GNV – Despite the economic situation, our Company recorded a summer with a brilliant result in terms of volumes and sales”.

Of particular satisfaction was the Civitavecchia-Palermo line, which has been subject to a redefinition of the product, through the introduction of a ship owned by GNV, which better responds to the needs of passengers and families in particular, thanks to greater capacity and more welcoming on-board services. Furthermore, the results recorded by the very recent launch of the Bari-Durres line, which marked the arrival of GNV in the Adriatic Sea, exceeded expectations.
