in January theIfo index of Germany it rose to 110,6 points, from 109,5 in December. It's about the level highest since July 2011.
The indicator, which measures the confidence of German entrepreneurs on the basis of a monthly survey involving around 7 companies, is therefore higher than the expectations of analysts, who had forecast a more contained rise, at 110 points.
In the same period, the Ifo index of the current situation rose from 111,6 to 112,4 points, while that relating to expectations rose from 107,4 to 108,9.
