Mutual funds, collection slows down in April

In April, net inflows into assets under management in Italy amounted to 2,4 billion euro, with assets under management standing at 1.854 billion, a slight decrease compared to the previous month.

In April the net inflow of the managed savings in Italy it was 2,4 billion euro with managed assets standing at 1.854 billion, a slight decrease compared to the previous month. Funding, albeit positive, slowed down compared to March, when it amounted to 11 billion. Looking at collective management, inflows were negative overall by 1,037 billion euro.

In particular, open-ended funds had negative inflows of 1,053 billion, while closed-end funds had positive inflows of 16 million. The open funds result was conditioned by outflows on short-term monetary products, amounting to 4,8 billion. As regards portfolio management, on the other hand, inflows were positive in April for 3,5 billion euro: 62 million retail and 3,4 billion institutional.
