At Mirafiori, production of the Maserati Levante SUV could start as early as the end of 2014/beginning of 2015 while the Alfa Romeo-branded SUV could begin to be assembled at the end of 2015. These are the forecasts of Radiocor's automotive sector sources, according to which the new generation of Alfa Mito will also come out of the Mirafiori lines from 2016. Sergio Marchionne has repeatedly reiterated that the announcement of which models will be built at Mirafiori and the investment commitment of the Fiat group in the plant "will not be made known until there is certainty".
The good news comes on the same day that it becomes known that Fiat plants in Europe are close to lockdown. The Officine Maserati of Grugliasco have in fact suspended production due to lack of supplies from the Selmat Group.
